Overview
A revival of a nineteenth-century wood type, redrawn for screen and paper, with a specimen book that opens like a cabinet.
Letters from a drawer
The museum holds a cabinet of wooden letters no one had set in fifty years. Anouk photographed every letter, then measured the wear on each edge.
The revival keeps the imperfections that matter: a slightly heavy crossbar, a leaning R. It does not keep the ones that only came from age.
A book that behaves like a cabinet
The specimen book has a stepped page edge, like drawers pulled halfway. Each weight has its own tab colour, and the type is printed in one ink on uncoated paper.
